A repository for thoughts, commentary and photos on things I have been up to.
In April 2007 the Ventura city electrical inspector signed off on our 2.5kW grid-tie solar system. As of 10/1, almost 3500 kWh of power has been generated.
One of the most fascinating and enjoyable projects I have ever participated in: A Fuel Cell Vehicle study in cooperation with Volvo Cars and Chalmers University in Gothenburg, Sweden. There were nine international students and we spent months doing research, simulations and even building a concept prototype to demonstrate how the components could be packaged in an existing Volvo design.
Repair procedure for a bad injector driver on this 1993 Mopar/Dodge SBEC/ECM. Fix your $150 ECM for $5.79. Warning: technical.
June 1, 2007: I bought a new camera last week - a Ricoh Caplio R6. Here are some sample shots and a comparison to my old Nikon Coolpix 3700.
Update 8/1/07: Well, the camera broke halfway through our road trip to the Florida keys. The mode switch on the back snapped internally and ceased to function entirely. Needless to say I am unimpressed.
My purchase and restoration of a 1922 Westinghouse "sidewinder" ceiling fan.
Photos of the teardown of a Subaru 2.5 DOHC Engine. From a 1997 Suabru Legacy, purchased for $995 with a bad head gasket. This is what a Subaru engine looks like after 202,000 miles.

A brief writeup of my earlier project involving a custom GM fuel injection system on
a Jaguar XJ12. Four years later, this project is mostly done, although some parts are still a work in
prgress. *UPDATE* It's finally done!
Information on the manual transmission...er...project on the same XJ12.
My car page. Anyone who knows we will
attest to the fact that I am nuts about cars. On these pages I talk
about the cars I have owed (and the 5 that I still own).
My Alaska trip page. In May 1999, my
sister and I packed up my 1983 Toyota truck and embarked on a journey
that we had promised each other nearly 3 years earlier. (sorry, lots of broken images since our .mac account expired and took all the photos with it.)
